Press Officer and Science Writer
The International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) seeks a skilled press officer and science writer to join our team. This key member of the IIASA communications department will be responsible for managing media relations with international news media, disseminating IIASA research through a variety of channels, and leading social media activities for the institute. This individual will identify topics of interest from across the institute’s broad research agenda, working closely with researchers and other members of the communications team to make complex research clear and engaging. The environment is fast-paced and challenging: the successful candidate will be skilled at juggling tasks and able to write articles on tight deadlines.
Applicants should have a proven ability to write about complex science for a general audience, experience in journalism or media relations, and work well in an international team environment.
For more information or to submit your application, please see the detailed job description on the IIASA website.
