(EUSJA) ITER, one of the world’s biggest scientific collaborations, has a key role to play in establishing fusion as a sustainable energy source. ITER being located on EU territory is a result of the international cooperation for research, it will be will be the world’s largest experimental fusion facility. .Fusion research is aimed at developing a safe, abundant and environmentally responsible energy source. ITER is also a first-of-a-kind global collaboration. Europe will contribute almost half of the costs of its construction, while the other six Members to this joint international venture (China, India, Japan, the Republic of Korea, the Russian Federation and the USA), will contribute equally to the rest. The ITER project is under construction in Cadarache, in the south of France.

Please see the preliminary programme for 2 days – 22 and 23 of April. The organizers will pay for 2 night (exceptionally 3 nights because of flight schedules) accommodation and meal for 15 EUSJA journalists. The participants have to get Aix-en-Provence (where will be accomodated in a hotel), the days of the trip they will be picked up and get back to the hotel by the organizers. The detailed programme with the instructions will be sent to the participants when we shall forward the list to Cadarache.
